coffee & conversations
task
This project presented the task of identifying an event (real or fictitious), then translating all of the elements of the event into a poster through photoshop.
brainstorming
I began by first identifying a fictional event I would like to promote, which I named "Coffee and Conversations". I set the event time, place, slogan and overall color scheme I would translate into my poster. Below are the sketches I created alongside my first composition of the poster.

challenges
One of the most upfront challenges I faced was that I had a lot of information to display, however I could not get the hierarchy perfect and easy to read. I was happy with my color and font selections, but the text needed to be moved around to best convey the event information. This took a lot of playing around to overcome.
outcome
Once I figured out exactly how I wanted to position each piece of text to best represent the event, I went in and added final touches. I expanded the AMA logo to include the full name, I played around with transparency levels and stroke weight. Below is the final project. This project taught me perseverance to stick to an idea even if it may not be working at first, pay close attention to details, and learn how to work with text in Photoshop.
